Born and raised in a far away place, Robert English spent his early years locked away doing nothing but reading.  After turning a near ghostly white from lack of exposure to the sun … he emerged and began writing down his thoughts into short stories and plays.  His early life of bread, water, reading and writing forged him into the stellar author that he is today with many   unfinished projects.

He spent his young years in the frozen Midwest until the age of 12 before being sentenced to a purgatory period in the sweltering hell of southern Alabama.  He attended Monroe Academy and Monroe County High School where he participated in football, basketball, track, and weight lifting.  He was also named the High School Valedictorian, beating out at least 2 other graduating seniors …

After graduation, he traveled to the University of Southern California on an Army ROTC scholarship.  Initially intending to be an Aerospace Engineer, Robert’s famed decisiveness led to 4 different majors until he graduated with a degree in Geography.  Following college, Robert was commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant in the United States Army and was placed on active duty.  He completed Armor Officer Basic Course and the Scout Platoon Leader’s course at Fort Knox before becoming a Tank Platoon Leader/OPFOR at Fort Irwin, CA during Desert Shield/Desert Storm.

After the military, Robert attended Loyola Law School, graduating in 1996.  Robert has had a varied practice and is a skilled trial attorney.  He has subsequently volunteered his legal skills as a Captain in the California State Military Reserve as a JAG officer.

Presently, Robert resides in Winchester, CA with his wife, Jenn, and daughter, Lexi.  The family is exploring the world with trips to Rome, France, London, and Ireland.

Roberts hobbies  include running Marathons and studying the martial art, Krav Maga.  In 2007, Robert completed 12 Marathons, 12 Half-Marathons, a Triathlon, a Century bike race, an Ultramarathon, and several 5Ks and 10ks.  Recently, he completed his first 50 mile race.  He is a licensed private pilot with a multi-engine instrument rating for airplanes.  An avid motorcyclist, he currently rides a modified 2000 Harley Davidson Sportster.
